want to increase your understanding of the disease.  You may find one or more of the
websites listed below helpful as you begin your journey.  Remember,
“There is no type of cancer from which some people have not recovered.”1

chemotherapy, radiation therapy, clinical trials, proton therapy, complementary medicine, and

Eating Hints for Cancer Patients:  Diet is an important part of treatment for cancer.   
The US Cancer Institute offers advice on how to eat the right kinds of foods before, during,
and after your treatment to help you feel better and stay stronger.
Cancer Research and Development:  An easy to use database of the latest developments
in treatment and research, compiled by a local oncology group.  You can search by type of cancer
or sort by date.
 
Pain Control – A Guide for Cancer Patients and their Families:  Cancer pain can
almost always be relieved and controlling your cancer pain is part of the overall treatment for
cancer.   You have a right to pain relief, and you should insist on it.
