CanHope

Mission Statement

The mission of CanHope is to provide a source of support, education, understanding and hope to anyone dealing with cancer.

CanHope stands for Cancer survivors Helping Others through Positive Encouragement. The group is comprised of adult male and female survivors and others who have been closely touched by cancer. If you are a survivor, or if you just want to learn how to better offer support to a friend or loved one who is going through cancer, you are welcome to join us.

CanHope Meetings: Members generally meet once a month. Most meetings are held on the third Monday of the month at Harmony Gate Wellness Center, on the West side of Silver Bluff, near the fire station. Please see the schedule below for exact dates and times.

Emotional Support Group Meetings: Recently, the group partnered with Cathy Cole, Chaplain at Aiken Regional Hospital, to create a self-directed Emotional Support Group. Support group meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, at 3 p.m., in the Parlor at the First Baptist Church of Aiken. The Parlor, at the back of the main Sanctuary, can be accessed from both the Chesterfield and Barnwell entrances.
